Why we're running: London Marathon 2019

Jack Reinsfield|8th March 2019

This year, on Sunday 28th of April, a team of seven Blue Latitude Health employees participate in the London Marathon. Whilst this is no doubt a spectacular opportunity for these members of our staff to get into amazing shape, it is also a great chance for us to give back to a cause we’re all passionate about by raising some money for a charity of our choice.

Last September, we united to create the blood cancer awareness campaign #makebloodcancervisible. This April, we will be taking our commitment to blood cancer treatment a step further with the goal of raising £12,000 for Bloodwise UK – a great organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the 240,000 patients in the UK living with blood cancer. Blood cancer is the UK’s third biggest cancer killer, each year taking more lives than breast or prostate cancer.

At Blue Latitude Health, we look to unlock the potential in products and services that save and transform lives. Bloodwise UK are an organisation that represent this ethos. The thousands of supporters, researchers, nurses, doctors, volunteers and campaigners who work together each day to fight blood cancer are an inspiration to us all. That’s why we decided to give them our full support. Visit the link to demonstrate you commitment to blood cancer patients and show your support for the marathon team.
